I guess you all know the story and I just make it a poem with my own verses.....

King Loaghaire of Ireland,
St. Patrick of wisdom,
The Moses’ magic wand,
One sword of freedom.
Speak to the multitude!
Thy tenet unto the Lord,
Thou earn my gratitude,
T’was the mighty king’s word.
Unlike the Gaels, why men
Of my kingdom, follow
The God, one, yet three, of heaven
Record bears? On morrow
Sat the saint, in prayer
With solitude, to borrow
From His lore, deep and fair.
The druids were mocking,
How absurd ideology!
On a patch of shamrock looking,
Enlightened saint, calmly
Plucks it from the ground,
“Here,” to the audience
He says, gazing around
The silent crowd. Experience!
He smiles boldly to the lads,
“There is one stem, but three
Leaves on it,” he proudly adds,
So it is the blessed trinity,
One God, but three stemming from the same divinity.

Tanin, what a great poem. As an Irish Catholic I love this story and I love it even more in this poetic form. You did a great job on it. Thanks for sharing it.

@Ronni & Patty: Thanks a lot for reading & commenting on this guys, the story is one of the classics to me and one that inspires me greatly even these days. As the theme is based on an Irish folk, Ronnie, your delightful & positive feedback made my day and give me a great inspiration and thank you Patty for showing such an uplifting impression & trust on me....again thank you guys.

Tanin:
Although I am honored to be thought of as Patty ( OK, there is a little gender problem )
I would not want to be the one who went about pretending to be someone I am not. I'm just
sayin.

So now I think that it has become a responsibility for Patty even if she doesn't like the poem as I already thanked her for her feedback!!! LOL.....

You may have asked me, Lil Brother Tanin,

However, I did not find this poem until just now,
& then I read everything that's here. Funny that you
called Steve, Patty, but stuff like that has happened
to me before so it happens, kinda cute & funny, actually.

As you can see I LOVED your poem & gave it a HUGE 10!!!
It does have big words from old English, but I grasped
the meaning & LOVED it anyway... Great subject as it
shows the Trinity so perfectly. Plus, I had heard this
actually happened & didn't know it was just a tale.

So, enjoy the 10, it is a much deserved one, for sure...

Love, Big Sis Patty :) (Truthfollower)

Yes Patty its so funny that I called him to be you, (Trumpetman, Truthfollower) seems quite similar to my eyes when it is a very short & quick glance taken on them. However, the story that I versified is considered to be a famous Irish folk or myth as I know so far. Yes I may have asked you but I forgot to do so. Anyway, thanks again for reading & commenting.

You're very welcome Lil Brother Tanin,

I'm very glad that I read it too!!! As I have
already mentioned, the point you made in the
poem was very strong & easily understood about
the Trinity.

God bless, Love, Big Sis Patty :) (Truthfollower)

You are absolutely right in this, and that's why I love & trust nature for only the signs of nature can lead us to the absolute truth & authenticity coz no one can deny nature.
